Ignite Specialty Risk, a provider of litigation risk insurance, has appointed Matthew Evans as Litigation Portfolio Manager, based in London with a reporting line to Jamie Molloy, Head of ATE and Co-founder of Ignite Specialty Risk.
Evans’ responsibilities in the new role include managing cases across the Ignite portfolio from inception to trial and liaising closely with the firm’s claims administrators.
He joins Ignite Specialty Risk from RPC, where he spent nearly nine years as a Senior Associate and latterly Of Counsel in Commercial and Financial Disputes, developing particular expertise in complex litigation strategy and risk assessment.
He started his career as a trainee and subsequently a litigation associate in the London and Brussels offices of Latham & Watkins.
Molloy commented on the appointment, “Ignite’s core strength lies in our technical legal analysis and deep understanding of litigation risk – something our clients value deeply. As our portfolio grows and encompasses more sophisticated cases, Matthew’s extensive litigation experience will enhance our strategic capabilities. By bringing in accomplished litigators of his calibre, we strengthen our ability to evaluate and manage the most challenging disputes.”
Evans added, “The opportunity to work across such a diverse portfolio that includes corporate disputes, group and single claims, as well as covering cases in the High Court, convinced me to make the transition to the litigation insurance sector with Ignite.
“I’m looking forward to hitting the ground running and working with the strong team at Ignite to guide our policyholders through our end-to-end litigation service offering.”
