United States-domiciled speciality insurer and subsidiary of USI Insurance Services, Innovation Growth Partners Specialty (IGP Specialty), has appointed David Nikolai as President, Programs Division, effective immediately.
IGP Specialty was established in November 2025 through the combination of U.S. Risk, a specialty lines underwriting manager and wholesale broker, and program administrator, Safehold Special Risk.
Nikolai brings over three decades of experience in insurance brokerage and underwriting to the firm.
Most recently, he served as the Executive Vice President of international specialty insurance broker RT Specialty’s sports and entertainment wholesale practice.
Before this, he held increasingly senior positions, including serving as the Senior Vice President of Alive Risk, President EverSports & Entertainment Insurance Inc. for six years, and Chairman of the Board of Christ the King Jesuit College Preparatory School.
Nikolai started his career as a Senior Underwriter and Department Manager for Chubb in 1989, and served with the company for six years. He later went on to serve as the Managing Director of Marsh, a role he held for over 22 years, as he led Marsh’s operations in North Central US.
