XS Global, an independently owned managing general underwriting (MGU) platform, has announced the appointment of Imad Kehdy as the new Head of First Party Lines XS Global Africa, responsible for Property, Engineering, Power and Energy.
Imad brings over a decade of reinsurance experience to his new position, having most recently served as Reinsurance Manager at Barents Re in Dubai, where he led the facultative underwriting team across Property and Engineering.
At Barents Re, he also held full underwriting authority for the MENA region, and was also in charge of directing pricing and risk acceptance, driving annual business planning, and assisted in the structuring of the regional retrocession program.
His career spans the full reinsurance value chain, having grown from technical accounting at Chedid Re in Lebanon through every level of facultative underwriting during his 12-year tenure at Barents Re.
