Atrium, a specialist insurer at Lloyd’s of London, has announced the appointment of Steve Hearn as Non-Executive Director to the Atrium Underwriters Limited board (AUL), subject to regulatory approval.
He will be taking over the position from Stephen Riley, who will retire from the board after nine years of valuable service.
A well known industry leader, Hearn has held multiple Chief Executive roles across re/nsurance broking through his career.
These roles include serving as CEO at Inver Re, the Ardonagh Group’s dedicated reinsurance broking unit, for close to three years. He had previously been the CEO of Ed Broking, part of that BGC insurance business portfolio.
Hearn’s distinguished career also includes becoming the Deputy CEO of Willis Group Holdings, having before that held the positions of Chairman and CEO of Willis Global, CEO of Willis Re and CEO of Willis Limited.
He is the current Chairman of PPL (Platform Placing Limited) and a former Chairman of the LMG (London Market Group) and LIIBA (London & International Insurance Brokers’ Associates).
