Jio Financial Services Limited has subscribed to and has been allotted 14,74,50,000 equity shares worth ₹10 each of its joint venture Allianz Jio Reinsurance Limited, according to a filing with the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE).
With the latest investment, Jio Financial’s total aggregate investment in the previously announced joint venture now stands at ₹150.
Jio Financial explains that no governmental or regulatory approval was required for the above transaction, and that Allianz Jio Reinsurance plans to utilise the new amount to fund its business operations.
Jio Financial said that the investment is a related party transaction and is on an “arm’s length basis.” None of the company’s promoter or group entities have any interest in the investment.
To recap, in September 2025, Allianz Europe B.V. and Jio Financial formally incorporated their reinsurance joint venture in India, naming the new entity Allianz Jio Reinsurance Limited.
It was initially announced that both partners would hold equal stakes, with an initial subscription of ₹2.5 lakh through 25,000 equity shares of ₹10 each.
