JLT Re (North America) Inc., part of the reinsurance broking arm of JLT Group, has announced the hire of Greg Messenger as Executive Vice President in Chicago, Illinois.
Messenger was most recently with Guy Carpenter, before which he worked at Aon Benfield and has over 35 years of industry experience, having also worked at E.W. Blanch in the past.

In his new role Messenger will focus on the expansion and development of JLT Re’s Regional, Mutual, and National Global broking practices.
Messenger, who will join the JLT Re NA team in July 2017, has in the past led teams focusing on the breadth of the diverse insurance company distribution platform, with specific experience across the Regional, Mutual, and National Global practices.
The role will see him putting his experience to work to assist the JLT Re Property Casualty business in its continued growth across the U.S. and around the world.
“Greg is a natural fit for JLT Re. He has an excellent reputation and is widely known in the market as having a very strong background in the Regional, Mutual, and National Global space,” Hochberg added.
