JLT Specialty USA has named Chicago as its chosen base for U.S Headquarters in a joint announcement with Rahm Emanuel, saying Chicago has been a “critical part” of the firm’s expansion.
Michael Rice, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), JLT Specialty USA, said Chicago became an obvious choice for investment “given its impressive infrastructure, higher education and talent pool, especially in the insurance sector.”
He added; “we continue to see value in making long term investments here.”
Pat Donnelly, Deputy CEO, JLT Specialty USA, said; “Chicago is the location that has all the elements to drive growth,” – the firm said its specialist focus had contributed to significant growth over the last three years.
“They chose Chicago because of the talent pool, infrastructure and stability our great city offers,” Mayor Emanuel said; “JLT’s American headquarters will be a strong addition to Chicago’s business community, and we look forward to their continued long-term investment and job creation in Chicago.”
