Kairos Risk Solutions, a Singapore-based boutique insurance solutions consultancy, has recently announced the appointment of David Chew as Director, Satellite Solutions.
In his new role, Chew will collaborate closely with Andre Siregar, CTO, Casmond Lim, COO, and Board Member Ng Teck Wee on upcoming projects. Additionally, he will serve as Kairos’ Country Representative for Japan.
Jeffrey Khoo, CEO of Kairos Risk Solutions, expressed enthusiasm for Chew’s appointment, stating, “As a satellite system engineer and project manager with demonstrated track records, David is a rare talent in Asia. With a growing need in parametric insurance and carbon credits, we needed a Director that had both the technical knowledge of satellites as well as the ability to interpret the data. David fits the bill perfectly.”
Chew is an experienced Systems Engineer with extensive hands-on experience in the Aerospace Satellite industry spanning over 6 years, advocating for Agile System Engineering Methodology.
Prior to joining Kairos, Chew served as Head of Satellite Mission, Launch, and Flight at Angkasa-X for two years, where he spearheaded satellite mission development and contributed to the space ecosystem in Malaysia.
Previously, he held positions at Axelspace Corporation for nearly five years, most recently as a Spacecraft Systems Engineer.
