UFG Insurance, a P&C insurer based in the US, has announced the appointment of Kathy Dnistrian as Senior Reinsurance Underwriter within the firm’s assumed reinsurance segment.
In her new role, she will take the lead on many existing and new treaty relationships across the US.
Dnistrian, has a wide variety of reinsurance experience, which adds breadth and depth to her expertise. She has held various roles within Swiss Re, AIG, QBE Re and EMC Re.
Commenting on the appointment, UFG Vice President and Chief Risk Officer Micah Woolstenhulme – who leads the company’s assumed reinsurance efforts – said: “We are thrilled to have Kathy join UFG as a senior reinsurance underwriter.
“She joins an impressive and experienced underwriting team that focuses on long-term value creation for our own company as well as for our clients.”
Earlier this month, UFG Insurance also hired Jennifer Baron as Reinsurance Underwriter and Rick Tjarks as Reinsurance Underwriter, noth to work with brokers and cedents across the US.
Woolstenhulme added: “UFG’s reinsurance treaty business operations continue to expand and we are thrilled to offer new capacity to the market when it is greatly needed.”
