Insurer and reinsurer Everest Re Group has announced that Keith Lavigne has joined Everest Insurance as leader of Management & Professional Liability, Everest Specialty Underwriters.
Lavigne will be based in the firm’s New York, U.S. office, from where he will manage a team of U.S. underwriters. He joins Everest Insurance from Chubb Financial Lines, where he most recently served as Executive Vice President (EVP), and business leader for Chubb’s retail management liability segment.
While in this role Lavigne managed 300 underwriters across 38 North American offices, with a focus on offering specialty solutions to firms in both the private and not-for-profit industry sectors.
Before joining Chubb in 2009, which was then known as ACE, Lavigne spent eight years working at insurer and reinsurer AIG, highlighting the extensive industry experience that he brings to his new role with Everest Insurance.
