Kettle makes strategic appointments

Kettle, the insurance MGA startup, has appointed Sarah Meyerhoff-Kennedy, Vice President of Insurance Products, and Milena Mikin, Vice President of Commercial Insurance.

Kettle uses artificial intelligence to protect people from the growing risks associated with climate change.

Andrew Engler, Kettle Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, commented on the appointments, “We are incredibly excited about Sarah and Milena joining our leadership team. They each bring significant experience writing property insurance. Their deep expertise in underwriting across commercial, E&S, and other property markets levels up Kettle’s overall capabilities in the insurance sector.”

Most recently, Meyerhoff-Kennedy served as the VP Head of E&S Property at Hanover Insurance, she has over 15 years of experience in the industry.

Before that, Meyerhoff-Kennedy served in the position of Assistant VP roles in brokerage and underwriting at RT Specialty and AmWINS.

Meyerhoff-Kennedy, added: “I’m very excited to be joining Kettle at this time with the changes in the property markets in wildfire and hurricane-prone areas of the country. Kettle is extremely well positioned to be able to help support property owners who have been struggling to get coverage.”

Mikin has over two decades of experience in various roles across the industry. Before this, Mikin was the VP of Product Development at Distinguished Programs.

She has also served as the VP of Property Underwriting at HDI, and earlier in her career held VP and Assistant VP roles at Zurich, AIG, and Marsh.

Mikin commented, “Climate change has shaken up the property insurance markets. The deeply talented team at Kettle have created technology to give them a clear edge in this new world, and built innovative insurance products that will help solve customers’ needs.”
