Kettle names William Haddrell CUO

Reinsurance startup Kettle has announced the appointment of William Haddrell as its new Chief Underwriting Officer, who will join following the completion of his current work obligations.

handshake-close-up-photoHaddrell is set to join from Sompo and will also being heading up the underwriting at Kettle’s recently-approved managing general agent.

Haddrell has over 13 years experience in the Industry, and most recently worked at Sompo International where he managed the Property Cat Retrocessional book.

Haddrell previously held the role of Portfolio Manager at Blue Capital, the Sompo owned ILS fund. 

He is based in Bermuda, and intends to use the Kettle based view of risk to create a better priced and liquid market for Property Cat.
