Liberty Specialty Markets, part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has announced the appointment of Monique Kooijman as General Manager for the Netherlands, Belgium and the Nordics.
“Kooijman’s appointment reflects our continued investment in our European presence and driving continued growth across these strategic markets, supporting our broader “Invest in Europe” strategy and 2030 ambitions,” Liberty Specialty Markets said.
Kooijman brings over 30 years of international insurance experience to her new position, having most recently served at Everest as Netherlands Branch Manager & Head of Northern Europe.
Prior to that, she spent over seven years at CNA Hardy, serving as Regional Director Northern Europe, and Regional Director Benelux before that.
The executive also spent 21 years at Chubb Insurance Company Europe, where she held a number of positions growing in responsibility since joining the company in 1995.
