Kuwait Reinsurance Company K.S.C.P., a global provider of reinsurance services, has announced the appointment of Afdzal Rasdi as Senior Underwriter, Treaty.
Rasdi has over ten years of experience in the re/insurance industry, and joins the company from Malaysian Re, where he most recently served as Assistant Vice President Underwriter, a role he held for over seven years.
He joined Malaysian Re in 2015 as Treaty Underwriter prior to being appointed Assistant VP after over a year of holding the role.
Prior to this, Rasdi served at Malaysian Reinsurance Berhad, Malaysia’s largest reinsurer, as a Treaty Underwriter for over three years. He has also held roles at Citibank Malaysia and OSK Investment Bank Berhand.
The news of Rasdi’s appointment follows the promotion of Abhijeet Kumar and Siddiqui Ahmad Faizan to the position of Senior Underwriters in the Energy department.
The three of them start their new roles following a successful 2022 for Kuwait Re, as the company recently reported a net profit of $26.03 million for the year 2022, a 25% increase compared to $20.85 million in 2021.
