Lancashire makes three senior promotions

Lancashire Holdings Limited, an international provider of specialty insurance and reinsurance solutions, has announced three internal senior promotions.

Lancashire logoThis includes the promotion of James Irvine to Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) for Lancashire Insurance Company Limited (LICL) in Bermuda, effective September 1st, 2017.

Irvine joined the firm in 2010 and is currently senior underwriter in Bermuda, with a focus on the firm’s property reinsurance portfolio. In his new role, he will continue to report to Sylvain Perrier, Chief CUO of LICL.

James Flude has been promoted to Deputy CUO for Lancashire Insurance Company (UK) Limited in London (LUK), effective September 1st, 2017.

Flude has been with the firm since 2014 when he joining from Watkins Syndicate as Head of Energy and Marine underwriting. Flude is also an energy class underwriter for Cathedral Syndicate 3010, and his new position will see him report to CUO for LUK, Hayley Johnston.

Matthew Westerman has been named Head of Property Treaty for Cathedral Syndicate 2010, effective April 6th, 2018. He joined the firm in 2012 as a senior underwriter based in Bermuda and was responsible for LICL’s property reinsurance portfolio. In his new role, he will report to Active Underwriter, Cathedral Syndicate 2010, Jon Barnes.
