Liberty Mutual appoints two new GRS underwriting leaders

Liberty Mutual Insurance has announced the appointments of two new underwriting leaders within Global Risk Solutions (GRS) Underwriting.

liberty-mutual-insurance-logoBrandon Fick will join the company as North America Chief Underwriting Officer and Nate Zangerle is named Chief Underwriting Officer for Global Surety.

Fick is said to bring strategic leadership and underwriting experience as he takes accountability for underwriting performance across GRS North America. Fick’s most recent position was Chief Underwriting Officer for Zurich North America, overseeing underwriting strategy across both primary and speciality lines.

Zangerle is reported to have achieved significant accomplishments during his 20-year tenure as Global Surety Chief Operating Officer of Global Risks with Liberty Mutual.

In his previous role within the company, Zangerle was responsible for managing, planning, underwriting and production for accounts in the US Canada, Asia Pacific, Europe, and Latin America, with an annual gross written premium in excess of $300 million. Zangerle has over 30 years of leadership experience in the surety industry.
