Laura Goodall has been appointed Head of Portfolio Management & Ceded Reinsurance at Liberty Mutual Insurance.
In the role she will be responsible for portfolio optimization and reinsurance strategy for GRS, making her in charge of reinsurance buying for that unit.
A highly experienced veteran within the industry, Goodall brings over 20 years of expertise towards her new role.
Prior to taking on this new role, Goodall served as Vice President, Insurance Risk Management at W.R. Berkley Corporation. She held this role for nearly 10 years.
Before that, she served as Ceded Reinsurance and Catastrophe Manager at Arch Insurance Europe for nearly five years, between September 2009 – March 2014.
In addition, Goodall previously served as a Director at Aon Benfield for just over a period of eight years between July 2001 – August 2009.
Elsewhere, Liberty Mutual Insurance President and CEO Tim Sweeney, recently announced key organizational changes and new executive leadership appointments that will be effective starting August 1st.
This includes the appointment Hamid Mirza as President of US Retail Markets.
