US primary insurer Liberty Mutual has announced the promotion of Marc Orloff to the newly-created position of General Manager, Field Distribution for its Global Risk Solutions (GRS) unit.
GRS focuses on core P&C lines for mid-to-large businesses, as well as specialty, excess and reinsurance.
The appointment will see Orloff report to Shaun Kelly ,the President of GRS Distribution, whilst leading a team of six regional executives and a wholesale executive, each with a staff that oversees broker relationships and strategy on a local scale.
Prior to this appointment Orloff served as GM for Liberty Mutual’s National Insurance Casualty and Middle Market – Northeast operation.
“The creation of this role and appointment of Marc helps us deliver on our commitment that distribution partners can easily access the full capability of Liberty and Ironshore, and it will create new opportunities for us to partner in a multiline, collaborative way,” said Kelly.
“Since joining Liberty Mutual eight years ago, Marc has built a strong track record of achieving business results, building partnerships internally and externally, developing talent and managing key broker relationships, all of which are critical in this new role.”
