Tim Sweeney, President and Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Mutual Insurance, has announced a new leadership structure across the company’s Global Risk Solutions (GRS) and Liberty Mutual Investments (LMI) businesses, bringing them into closer strategic alignment, effective immediately.
The new structure is designed to better serve customers and partners, while positioning Liberty Mutual to deliver on its 2030 ambition to become a leading global insurance and capital solutions partner.
Liberty Mutual noted that GRS and LMI will remain separate business units under this new leadership structure.
As part of the changes, Vlad Barbalat has been appointed President, Global Risk & Capital Solutions. He will also continue to serve as Chief Investment Officer of Liberty Mutual Group, reporting to Sweeney.
In this role, Barbalat will have strategic oversight and accountability for delivering Liberty Mutual’s 2030 goals across GRS and LMI.
Matthew Moore will remain President of GRS, reporting to Barbalat, and will continue to be responsible for the performance and operations of GRS.
Adam Winn and Patrizio Urciuoli have been appointed Co-Presidents of LMI. They will continue to report to Barbalat and will be responsible for LMI’s performance and operations.
