Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has appointed Ettore Palma to the newly created role of Broker Relationship Manager, effective immediately.
In his new role, Palma will be based in the recently opened Rome office and report to Simone Jurina, Head of Distribution, Italy.
His remit includes expanding Liberty’s footprint in Italy by developing its business across the country’s central and southern regions.
Additionally, Palma will also manage, strengthen existing relationships, and build new partnerships with brokers and intermediaries.
He has three decades of industry experience, having worked with major insurance groups and international MGAs, with a strong focus on the Italian market.
Most recently, Palma served at HECA, where he supported the company’s growth in central and southern Italy.
Jurina commented on the appointment, “We are pleased to welcome Ettore to our Rome office. He is highly regarded in the industry, and his extensive knowledge and experience working with insurers and intermediaries will be a great asset as we continue to grow our presence in Italy. This new role will enhance the quality of service we can offer both brokers and clients and will strengthen local market needs.”
