Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, appointed Zara Ismail as the new Head of Business Development – Claims, based in London.
Ismail’s appointment is effective immediately and she will report to Scott Kellers, Head of London Claims and Deputy Head of GRS International Claims, along with Mark Stephenson, Head of Business Development and Market Relationships, LSM.
In her new role, Ismail will be responsible for identifying, developing, and communicating strategies to enhance the claims function’s value for LSM’s clients, brokers, and the wider Lloyd’s and London Market.
She will take charge of managing the LSM Claims proposition and will deliver an annual claims business development strategy. Ismail’s focus will align with LSM’s overarching goal of providing superior value to clients throughout the entire commercial relationship.

Ismail brings with her over 15 years of expertise in business development and client strategy within the legal and insurance sectors.
Prior to joining LSM, Ismail served as the Head of Insurance Business Development at RPC, a prominent law firm.
