Liberty Specialty Markets, part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has restructured its leadership team for its Fine Art & Specie (FA&S) line of business in Europe, effective May 1st, 2026.
Bjoern Reusswig has been appointed as the European Underwriting Manager for Contingency, Fine Art & Specie and War & Terrorism.
He will report to David Saillen, Chief Underwriting Officer for Europe, and will take on the additional responsibility for Fine Art & Specie from him.
Reusswig has an extensive reputation, global lines background, and previous FA&S experience, making him a good fit to drive underwriting excellence while accelerating profitable growth across key lines of business.
Additionally, Paolo Frassetto has been named as Fine Art & Specie European Underwriting Manager; he will also retain his existing responsibilities as Underwriting Manager, FA&S Italy.
He will continue to be based in Milan and report to Bjoern Reusswig and Antonio Sacchi, General Manager, Italy.
All FA&S Underwriting managers in countries, as well as the European Underwriting Specialist, report to their respective country managers with a dual report to Frassetto.
Frassetto brings proven regional underwriting expertise and a clear focus on disciplined product differentiation to help drive Liberty’s offerings forward.
David Saillen, Chief Underwriting Officer for Europe, Liberty Specialty Markets, commented, “I am delighted to announce these appointments for our European business as we continue to drive disciplined, purpose-led growth in FA&S under our 2030 Invest in Europe strategy.
“Both Bjoern and Paolo have been with Liberty for more than eleven years combined and demonstrate the strength of our talent at Liberty. I am delighted to be able to recognise their dedication and high performance, which will only strengthen our expertise-led business.”
