Dawn Miller is to join Lloyd’s as its new commercial director in a role set to begin in Q2 2022.
According to Lloyd’s, Butler is to oversee Lloyd’s global network across the Americas, Europe, APAC, and MEA. She will be responsible for distribution, market development, global engagement with brokers, and new entrants. Innovation at Lloyd’s, including the Lloyd’s Lab, will also fall under her remit.
Patrick Tiernan, chief of markets at Lloyd’s, said in a statement that he was delighted to welcome Miller to his senior team.
He added: “Dawn has exceptional international experience and knowledge across a wide range of business areas which will be critical in leading the commercial team at Lloyd’s. She has a deep understanding of how a true global ecosystem operates and will play an invaluable role in driving the Lloyd’s market forward to deliver our strategic priorities.”
Currently employed as regional executive officer for Chubb Central Region, Miller has over two decades experience in the global insurance industry with oversight of underwriting, distribution, clients, and strategy, including leadership positions at AXA, AIG and Willis.
Previously reporting on Reinsurance News indicates that Miller was promoted to her current role at Chubb in February 2020. Tiernan, meanwhile, joined Lloyd’s exactly one year ago.
