Lockton Re, the reinsurance division of insurance broker Lockton, has appointed Chris Parish as Market Innovation Leader, where he will be based in the company’s London office.

In the role, Parish will work with a variety of colleagues across the globe. He will report to Claude Yoder, Global Head of Analytics at Lockton Re.

Overall, he brings 25 years of industry experience towards the role. Most recently he worked at Nephila Capital as a Partner and the Portfolio Management & Funds Team Leader in Bermuda, as well as a Senior Business Advisor in London.

Prior to Nephila Capital, Parish spent time working at Aon Benfield Securities, Aon Benfield Re and Benfield, where he would go on to work in London, Bermuda, Canada, and the US.

Parish’s heavy focus on clients, technology, securitization, and fund management gives him a great understanding of recent developments in the reinsurance market and insight into the potential for innovation and technology going forward.

“I am delighted to welcome Chris to the team in this new and exciting role. To ensure our clients and partners benefit from the external technological changes that are occurring, the reinsurance industry needs to consolidate its data flows and share data through digital connectivity”, commented Yoder.

“Our lack of legacy systems and the flexibility of Lockton Re’s SAGE, our proprietary analytics tool, mean we are in a great position to successfully embrace this change. Chris’ expertise and experience will help ensure that Lockton Re plays a key role in this technology advancement.”

Tim Gardner, Global CEO, Lockton Re, added: “Lockton Re is in a very strong position with our technology investments and our forward-thinking analytics teams to bring faster and deeper connectivity to clients, reinsurance partners and our colleagues. I look forward to working with Chris, Claude, and the wider team to support their efforts to modernize the markets we trade in.”
