W. R. Berkley Corporation, a property and casualty re/insurer, has announced the appointment of Lucas Prahl as President of Berkley Human Services, a Berkley company.
Prahl succeeds Roger Nulton, who has been named Chairman of the business after serving as President for nearly a decade. Nulton will continue to support Prahl and the Berkley Human Services team during the transition.

Prahl brings over 20 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry to his new role.
He joins Berkley from QBE North America, where he worked for seven years, most recently as Senior Vice President and Head of Middle Market. In this role, Prahl was responsible for operational profitability, including market strategy, business development, underwriting, and operations.
Previously, Prahl held significant leadership positions at firms such as Chubb, Aon, Slalom Consulting, and The Hartford.
