The Insurance Development Forum (IDF), a collaboration between the insurance industry, governments and international organisations focused on strengthening resilience to natural disasters and climate-related risks, has appointed Maamoun Rajeh to its Steering Committee.
Rajeh serves as President of Arch Capital Group Ltd., a global provider of insurance, reinsurance and mortgage insurance products.
In this role, he is responsible for the company’s Global Reinsurance and Global Mortgage businesses.
He has been with Arch since its founding in 2001 and has contributed to its expansion through a range of senior leadership positions.
These include the Chief Executive Officer of Arch Re Europe, as well as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Arch Worldwide Reinsurance Group.
With experience across underwriting, corporate strategy and capital allocation, Rajeh brings a broad perspective on managing complex and interconnected risks. His appointment is expected to support the IDF’s efforts to advance insurance-based solutions and strengthen resilience in areas most exposed to risk.
