Markel Intl. adds three to wholesale claims team

Markel International has appointed Alia Bamrah, Keifer Edmonds, and Tony Halling as senior claims adjusters, adding further experience and technical expertise to the wholesale claims team, as it continues evolving its services for clients.

MarkelAll three appointments will be based in the company’s London office, holding the responsibility for day-to-day claims handling and managing complex claims matters.

Prior to Markel, Bamrah was a complex claims adjuster at the American International Group, where she focused on professional negligence and cyber claims within the company’s financial lines department.

In her new position, Bamrah will work across professional indemnity claims, where she will report to Jonathan Pestell, claims manager for Markel.

Edmonds joins from Faraday Underwriting, reporting to Dan Lofty, claims manager for reinsurance. He holds over 12 years of experience within claims and has held the role of claims adjuster at several insurance firms, including the likes of RenaissanceRe, Amlin UK and QBE Europe.

Halling previously worked at Reynolds Coleman Bradley, where he started out as a paralegal, progressing to the role of senior associate at the law firm.

He will now work under Tom Fassnidge, claims manager for management liability at Markel Innternational to resolve high level cyber and management liability claims.
