Insurance broker Marsh, has announced the appointment of Michael Pellegrini as Specialty Leader for US and Canada, effective immediately.
In this role, based in San Francisco, Pellegrini will oversee Marsh’s Aviation, Construction, Credit Specialties, Energy & Power, Financial and Professional Lines (FINPRO), Marine, Cargo and Logistics, and Private Equities, Mergers & Acquisitions (PEMA) businesses within the regions.
He succeeds Michelle Sartain, who was appointed President of US and Canada in July. In his new position, Pellegrini will work closely with Sartain and report to Pat Donnelly, President, Marsh Specialty and Global Placement.

Pellegrini has been with Marsh for more than two decades, having joined as a Risk Analyst in the firm’s one-year training program for recent college graduates in 2002.
During his time at the firm, he has held a number of key leadership roles within the marine and cargo sector, most recently serving as Marsh’s North American Marine, Cargo, and Logistics Practice Leader – a role he will maintain until a replacement is identified.
