Insurance broker Marsh has announced the appointments of John Atkinson and Michael Pokora to co-lead a new Senior Housing and Long-Term Care Practice for the US and Canada.
Based in Chicago, they will report to Jeffrey Alpaugh, Marsh’s US and Canada Growth and Industry Leader.
This is a newly-created dual leadership role and will see Atkinson and Pokora head a team of Marsh industry specialists responsible for the delivery of transactional and advisory solutions that address the complex risk financing, risk management, and human capital needs.
Atkinson also will serve as Chairman of Marsh’s Chicago office, where he will lead civic and community engagement and support Marsh’s growing business in the Midwest working alongside the current leadership team.
Atkinson and Pokora join Marsh from Willis Towers Watson where they previously served as Executive Vice Presidents and Managing Directors of the Senior Living Practice Group.
Together they bring decades of risk management experience in the senior living and long-term care space.
