Marsh promotes Ankur Kacker to UK Digital Asset Leader

Global insurance brokerage Marsh has named Ankur Kacker as UK Digital Asset Leader in the Financial & Professional (FINPRO) Practice of Marsh JLT Specialty, based in London.

marsh-logoIn his new role, Kacker will report to Philip Turner, Specie Practice Leader and takes on responsibility for the development of new insurance solutions for digital assets such as cryptocurrency.

He will continue to work in close alignment with the firm’s New York based Digital Asset Risk Transfer (DART) team, which offers risk transfer solutions to companies operating in the areas of blockchain, cryptocurrency, and digital assets.

Kacker first joined Marsh in Mumbai, India in 2008 as a graduate and moved to London in 2017 as part of the UK Specie department, where he specialised in digital assets insurance. During his 13 year career, he has worked with clients across a broad range of industries including financial institutions and technology entities.

Commenting on Kacker’s appointment, Turner said: “Ankur has been the driving force behind many innovations in the highly specialist digital assets insurance market.
