Insurance and reinsurance broker Marsh has appointed Craig Schioppo, who is currently Transactional Risk Practice Leader, US and Canada, as the new Global Head of Transactional Risk, Marsh Specialty.
In this newly created position, Schioppo will oversee a global team of specialists responsible for the delivery of transactional risk insurance solutions, including representations and warranties insurance, to private equity and strategic investor clients engaged in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) around the world.
He brings 25 years of M&A experience to the role having worked as an accountant, lawyer, and insurance broker throughout his career.
He joined Marsh’s Private Equity and M&A (PEMA) Practice in 2003 and was named to his US & Canada leadership position in 2010.
Based in New York, Schioppo will report to Lucy Clarke, interim Global Specialty Head, PEMA.
