Victor, a Marsh-owned specialty managing general underwriter (MGU), has announced the appointment of John (Jack) Sallada as President of Victor Access, the company’s wholesale brokerage.
Sallada is taking over the role at the MGU following more than two decades with Marsh, where he most recently served as Qualified Solutions Group Leader for eight years.
Prior to that he was a Casualty Practice Leader – Qualified Solutions Group, a role he held for over two years, after serving as Casualty Placement Leader for more than three years.
Before that, Sallada was a Private Equity Placement Leader for close to nine years following his position as Casualty Advisory Specially, a role he held for almost two years after joining the company in 2000.
Prior to Marsh, the executive was part of Szerlip & Co., Inc. for three years, where he served as an Insurance Producer, responsible for sales, marketing, and client management.
Victor is known for connecting primary risk with the capital markets, delivering insurance business to both traditional reinsurance capital and alternative sources of capacity.
Last year, the MGU launched Victor Exchange, a reciprocal insurance exchange, to deliver additional US property catastrophe capacity to existing and new policyholders of its US property catastrophe managing general agency (MGA) subsidiary, International Catastrophe Insurance Managers LLC (ICAT).
Later in the year, Victor named Ashleigh Cashman as President of ICAT. She is responsible for the overall growth, innovation, and talent development for the MGA and its Boulder Claims subsidiary.
