Matt Finch takes Finance Director role at Carbon Underwriting

Carbon Underwriting Limited, the specialist, independent managing general underwriter (MGU) and Lloyd’s syndicate, has announced the appointment of Matt Finch as Finance Director.

Carbon UnderwritingFinch has almost 25 years of financial services experience and had been undertaking the Finance Director role at Carbon on a contract basis for the last 10 months before assuming the position permanently at the end of 2021.

He is responsible for all the key elements associated with group finance including cash and capital management, solvency, reserving, actuarial and regulatory matters.

Finch has undertaken a number of senior finance roles across the market and directly prior to joining Carbon, he was Chief Financial Officer and Founding Partner at Sequitur Risk Ltd.

“The breadth of Matt’s insurance and financial knowledge makes him a highly valuable member of our management team,” said Nick Tye, Carbon CEO.
