Insurance and reinsurance broker McGill and Partners has announced the appointment of Amy Kimber to Partner in the firm’s Marine and Cargo team.
Kimber has been part of McGill and Partners since 2019, when she joined as an Associate. During this time, she worked closely with the firm’s clients and underwriters to provide operational support in pre and post-placement activities.
She began her insurance career at JLT Speciality, where she served as an Account Handler for over two years.
Since then, she has serviced a number of complex accounts such as Resolve Marine Group and the Factory Trawler Program.
Commenting on her appointment, Kimber said: “I came to McGill and Partners for the progressive working culture and the exciting opportunity it represents in the market.”
Kimber’s appointment is one of McGill’s most recent people moves and follows George Guy’s, who is now Partner within the firm’s Complex Property, Casualty and Construction team.
Like Kimber, Guy joined the firm in 2019 from JLT. His appointment followed Jack Price-Draper, who started his new role as Partner in the Financial Lines team in April.
