Full-service retail insurance broker McGriff has appointed Austin Jones as sales leader for Florida and practice leader for the state’s new condo team.
Based in Fort Lauderdale, Jones is tasked with overseeing sales development and strategy for Florida and leading McGriff’s first practice group focused on the condo market in the state.
The senior vice president joins the firm with more than a decade of experience in the condominium and multi-family specialty market, mostly in Florida.
He previously served as a sales leader with national broker Marsh & McLennan Agency, where he was responsible for client acquisition, sales team development, and coaching.
Before this, he operated as Vice President of USI Insurance Services.
Jones holds a bachelor’s degree in risk management and insurance from Florida State University and a master’s degree in business administration from William & Mary.
He has also served in the U.S. Navy, earning the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
