Specialist financial and professional lines MGA Spring Insure has announced the promotions of Jamie Boyd and Tom Hodgson to Senior Underwriters at the firm’s Guernsey office, while Jacob Gunn progresses to Assistant Underwriter at the London office.
Jamie Boyd is an experienced insurance professional with over 15 years of industry expertise.
In March 2020, he joined Spring Insure as an underwriter after successful tenures as a Personal Lines broker and Business Development Executive managing commercial clients for Rossborough.
Tom Hodgson joined Spring Insure in April 2020 and, according to Spring, has since become a well-respected and knowledgeable underwriter.
He previously held account handler roles with global companies Willis Towers Watson and Gallagher.
Meanwhile, Jacob Gunn started with Spring Insure in October 2021 as an assistant to the underwriting team in London.
The MGA states that over the past 18 months, he has worked his way up to the role of Assistant Underwriter, where he will be tasked with greater responsibility for a number of his own relationships under the guidance of the underwriting team.
The expansion of its product lines and growing its team of dedicated specialist underwriters are key targets for the firm in 2023, suggests new CEO, Tristan Sargeaunt.
