The Managing General Agents’ Association (MGAA) has announced the appointment of three new board members, while also revealing it had seen significant growth in its membership over the last year, welcoming its 400th member.

MGAA CEO, Mike Keating said the association had seen record attendances at its 2023 Annual Conference (over 1,000 delegates) and its regular programme of member-hosted market briefing sessions, welcoming over 4,000 attendees across 42 events.

Over the last year the non-for profit also expanded its membership package to include the association’s specialist Diversity, Equity & Inclusion webinar series as part of its ongoing commitment to promote diversity across the insurance market.

Keating commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Ian, Daniel and Paul to the MGAA board. I have no doubt that their wealth of combined experience from across the MGA sector will be invaluable as we look to build upon a hugely successful 2023.

“Last year it was fantastic to see so many of our members attending our events and benefitting from the programmes that we have in place to support the growth of the MGA sector as a whole. Looking forward to the rest of 2024, as always, we’re hugely excited to be developing that support further, finding new ways to better serve our membership.”

Among its plans for 2024, and following membership feedback, the MGAA said it will enhance the compliance & regulatory support it provides for members, and significantly improve its members’ experience with the launch of a new website.

Additionally, it will also be refreshing its successful member-driven programme of Learning & Insights.
