Hamilton Insurance Group, Ltd., an international specialty insurance and reinsurance group, has announced the appointment of Michelle Li as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Hamilton Global Specialty, its underwriting platform headquartered in London.
In her new role, Li will be located in London and will work in close partnership with Alex Baker, Chief Executive Officer of Hamilton Global Specialty. She will report to Brian Deegan, Group Chief Accounting Officer, and will serve as a senior leader within Hamilton’s global Finance function.

Deegan added: “Michelle’s strong record of financial leadership makes her an excellent addition to our global Finance function. I look forward to working closely with her as she steps into this key leadership role within our global Finance team.”
Li brings more than fourteen years of experience from RenaissanceRe, where she progressed through a number of senior finance leadership roles. Her most recent position was SVP, Head of Finance for Lloyd’s and RenaissanceRe of Europe. Prior to joining RenaissanceRe, she spent over five years with PwC, working in both Bermuda and Canada. Li holds certifications as a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor.
