Howden, the global insurance group, has named Mike Baker as the Chief Client Officer of Howden Asia, with immediate effect, based in Singapore and reporting to Goh Chye Huat, Chief Executive Officer, Howden Asia.
Baker’s remit in the new role is to further develop Howden’s large client proposition in the region, focusing on servicing multinational companies and organisations with complex risk requirements across Asia. He will also place specific emphasis on areas of heightened interest for clients including energy transition, cyber, climate, political risk, and more.

Baker will work with Howden’s Multinational Client Practice, harnessing the power of its network, market-leading specialisms, reinsurance and analytical capabilities.
Baker is a market veteran and began his career in 1985, and has worked internationally as both an underwriter and a broker, based in London, Sydney, and Singapore.
Most recently, Baker served at re/insurance broker Aon as the Strategic Account Manager, Asia. Before this, he spent nine years at WTW holding various senior roles including Head of Corporate, Property & Casualty and Global Client Relationship Manager.
