Miller hires Guy Carpenter’s Shaun Sinniah as Head of Reinsurance & Capital

Independent specialist re/insurance broker, Miller, has hired Guy Carpenter’s Shaun Sinniah as Head of Reinsurance and Capital, in a move that is set to bolster the company’s reinsurance offering and international presence.

In his new role, Sinniah will be based in London.

In his previous role at Guy Carpenter, Sinniah served as Head of Placement & Distribution and Chief Operating Officer of the firm’s International & Global Specialties divisions.

Prior to joining Guy Carpenter, Sinniah served in a number of different roles at Willis Re, including a stint as Managing Director, Global Head of Sales & Client Management.

He joined the insurance sector from Goldman Sachs where he previously worked in London & Hong Kong.

Miller explained that Sinniah’s appointment aligns with the company’s growth plans and accelerated reinsurance buildout.

In his new role, he is expected to lead the expansion of Miller’s reinsurance offering, deployment of innovative data driven approaches and enhanced strategic advisory capabilities.

Additionally, Sinniah will also support the organisation’s broader international strategy, following the formation of Miller International, which launched at the start of 2023.
