Global reinsurance broking and advisory firm Gallagher Re has appointed Minesh Jani as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of India, effective from June 2026.
Jani is a reinsurance industry veteran with over three decades of experience. Most recently, he served as the Managing Director of Howden Insurance Brokers Limited at the DIFC branch.
Prior to this, he was the CEO of Ed MENA based in Dubai for five years, and the President of Reinsurance at ARPL for six years, based in Mumbai.
At ARPL, Jani was responsible for portfolio structuring and placement of risks in the global market, and reinsurance portfolio solutions for India and the Indian Subcontinent.
In the past, he has held the role of President of Willis Insurance Brokers Co., Ltd. in Mumbai for over four years and Director of BMS India and Consultant to BMS UK for the Indian subcontinent and the Middle East. He was instrumental in setting up BMS’ Indian operations.
He started his career in 1996 as a Manager for Reinsurance, Africa at J.B. BODA Group, and later served as the Head of Reinsurance at ICICI Lombard for over two years, responsible for treaty and facultative reinsurance.
