Insurance and reinsurance brokerage, Marsh McLennan has announced that Flavio Piccolomini and Pat Tomlinson have been named Marsh McLennan International CEO, and US and Canada CEO, respectively.
According to the announcement, they have been appointed to their new roles to lead a new collaborative effort to better serve clients and deliver innovative solutions at the intersections of the company’s four businesses: Marsh, Mercer, Guy Carpenter and Oliver Wyman.
They will report to Mercer President and CEO Martine Ferland and Marsh President and CEO Martin South and will be responsible for working across businesses to address clients’ increasingly interconnected risk, strategy and people challenges and ensure we are operating efficiently in serving clients.
Piccolomini will be based in London, and brings over three decades of experience in insurance brokerage and risk advisory to his new role.
Most recently, he served as President of Marsh’s International Division, comprising all regions except the US and Canada.
Tomlinson will be based in New York. He has more than 25 years of experience in professional services. He most recently served as President of US and Canada at Mercer.
He joined the business in 2014 and since then has assumed roles of increasing responsibility guiding Mercer’s Health, Wealth and Career businesses.
