Insurance holding company W. R. Berkley Corporation has announced the appointment of Christopher L. Moede as President of Berkley Risk.
He will be succeeding John (Jack) M. Goodwin, who has been named chairman of the business. The appointments are effective immediately.
Moede brings over two decades of effective leadership experience in the commercial insurance market. Most recently, he led a global underwriting segment at a major multinational insurer.
Goodwin initially joined Berkley Risk in 2012 and successfully served as its executive vice president before being named president in 2014, a role he held for 12 years.
