MS Amlin names Andrew Fish as Head of Exposure Management

Lloyd’s global re/insurer MS Amlin has appointed Andrew Fish as Head of Exposure Management. The move aligns with the reinsurer’s ongoing commitment to advancing expertise in the vertical.

ms amlin logo In the new role, Fish will enhance the firm’s risk management and pricing strategies through advanced modelling and analytics, and lead a team of 35. Additionally, he will also focus on assessing the impact of emerging risks, including climate change, cyber threats, and geopolitical volatility.

His appointment follows MS Amlin’s 2024 partnership with Moody’s RMS, a provider of catastrophe risk modelling and solutions, reinforcing the company’s investment in cutting-edge analytics and insights.

Fish has extensive experience across the market. Most recently, he spent the past four years as Head of Global Re Specialty (GRS) Catastrophe Management, supporting GRS clients across Property Specialty (D&F and Retro) and Specialty lines.

Before this, he was Head of Catastrophe Pricing and Analytics at QIC Global Services until 2021. Fish was responsible for the catastrophe pricing function across multiple QIC entities, including Qatar Re, Antares Syndicate, and QEL.

In the past, Fish has held roles at Aon focused on the origination and structuring of insurance-linked securities (ILS) transactions such as catastrophe bonds and sidecars.
