MS Amlin Underwriting adds Julie Hopes to board

Lloyd’s Global Specialty re/insurer MS Amlin Underwriting has announced the appointment of Julie Hopes to its board as a notified independent Non-Executive Director (iNED).

ms-amlin-logoHopes will also take over as Chair of the Risk and Solvency Committee later this year, subject to regulatory approval, assuming the role from Gilles Bonvarlet who will be retiring from the board after over 8 years’ service as a director.

She brings over 30 years’ experience to the role and is a seasoned board committee chair, holding current board positions at SAGA plc and West Bromwich Building Society, and previously chairing the Risk Committee at Co-Op Insurance.

During her executive career, Hopes was the Managing Director for Insurance at Tesco Bank and International Operations Director at RSA.
