US-based insurer The Hartford has announced the appointment of MS Amlin’s former Head of Natural Resources, Julian Samuel, as Head of International Marine, Energy & Industrial Risk within Global Specialty.
Samuel joins The Hartford with over three decades of industry experience. Prior to his new position, the executive served as Non Executive Director for Nuclear Risk Insurers, and was MS Amlin’s Head of Natural Resources before that, a role he held for six years.
Prior to MS Amlin, Samuel spent 24 years at Markel International, the global insurance arm of Markel Group.
