Lloyd’s market global re/insurer, MS Amlin Underwriting Limited (MS AUL) has appointed Simon Morgan as Head of Property Delegated Authority, where he will report to Sam Geddes, Head of Property and Allied Lines.
Morgan will take on the role in November, later this year.
Within this role, Morgan will be leading and setting the underwriting strategy for the MS AUL’s Property Binders and Facilities teams, as well as supporting the growth of the wider property proposition.
Morgan brings more than over two decades of experience towards the role. He joins MS AUL from Hiscox, where during a 15-year tenure, he most recently served as Divisional Director for Property in its London Market’s business. During this role, he oversaw a portfolio of $500 million, developing and implementing the company’s property underwriting strategy.
Before that, he served as Property Underwriter at Kiln, where he wrote a diverse and international portfolio of property risks through a variety of placement channels.
Sam Geddes, Head of Property and Allied Lines, MS AUL, commented: “I am delighted that Simon will be joining our Property team at MS AUL. His appointment builds on the momentum within the division, following the recent appointment of Julie Ferguson, who leads our Open Market portfolio.
“As we continue to strive towards building one of the strongest property teams in the market, I am confident that Simon’s breadth of experience, sector expertise and the depth of both his broker and client relationships will support our ambitions to develop a best-in-class proposition.”
