Global reinsurance firm Munich Re has hired Rebecca Rycroft from actuarial consultancy Oliver Wyman to become the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for its Canadian life and health business.
Rebecca Rycroft has been appointed as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Munich Re, Canada effective April 9th 2018.
“Rebecca is well-known within the insurance sector for her energetic leadership, her actuarial expertise, and her commitment to deliver. Under her guidance, the role of Chief Financial Officer will play a greater part in helping our clients navigate the changing regulatory space and grow their business. She shares a much aligned vision and commitment to client success, and I am thrilled to have her join the Senior Leadership Team,” said Bernard Naumann, President and CEO of Munich Re, Canada (Life and Health).

Rycroft has 18 years experience in international actuarial consulting, with her most recent role being the position of Senior Principal at Oliver Wyman where she was the Appointed Actuary of various Life Insurers.

Rycroft previously worked as a consultant at Towers Watson, an actuary at GGY Inc., and had also worked at Oliver Wyman from 1996 to 2004.
