Global reinsurer Munich Re has appointed Till Böhmer as Head of Central Analytics (Data, Analytics and AI Division).
Böhmer will serve in this role in an interim capacity for the next nine months, leading the central analytics function. He will be responsible for driving analytics platforms as well as AI strategy, communication, governance, and training.
He returns to Munich Re after spending nearly four years in Bangkok at ERGO Insurance Thailand.
Prior to that, Böhmer spent 13 years at Munich Re, most recently as Global Head of Data Assets. He began his career at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a Project Leader.
In a recent LinkedIn post, Böhmer commented on his time working at ERGO Insurance Thailand, saying, “What a journey it has been! It started at Thaisri in 2022—a mid-tier player among Thailand’s 50+ general insurers. We tripled the business while improving loss ratio and profitability. After three integrations, a rebranding to ERGO Thailand, and consolidation into the Munich Re and ERGO Group, this once-small outlet has become one of the leading companies, now ranking No. 7 in Thailand by premiums—capping off this incredible run with the Asia General Insurance Company of the Year award in 2024.
