Global reinsurer Munich Re has appointed Maura Haynes as Head of Casualty Underwriting in the U.S., Reinsurance Division, where she will be based in New Jersey.
Haynes previously worked for SCOR for just under six years, holding numerous leadership roles, most recently as US Casualty Team Leader.
During her time there, she has also been Team Leader of General Liability, US Treaty, Senior Vice President as well as Senior Casualty Treaty Underwriter, Vice President.
Prior to SCOR, she worked for Swiss Re for over eight years, starting as Vice President, Casualty faculty for six years.
She’s also held the role of Account Executive and Senior Treaty Underwriter, Vice President, each of these roles she held for just over a year.
Prior to this announcement, Munich Re announced it has partnered with Obie, a provider of insurance for landlords and investors, on a new offering designed to enable landlords to rapidly obtain bindable insurance quotes for their investment properties.
